According to the statics of social media, about 60% of the B2C companies surveyed report that social media is one of the best platforms for increasing their revenue and sales, compared to 46% of B2B companies. Expert also advises to use social media for B2C. 
 
If you want to choose the best platform for the promotion of your business then, in my opinion, Facebook is one of the best platforms due to the highest social media users among all social media and Facebook also provide one of the easy ways to facilitate the ad campaign.

Social media marketing is a highly powerful tool for B2B brands. However, the goals, strategies, and content for B2B differ exceedingly from that of B2C brands.

 

By the report of Social Media Examiner found that more than half of all B2B marketers are more likely to use social media to grow partnerships and gain competitor insights than their B2C counterparts.

Agree with this. Mostly, social media are good for businesses. But you really have to pay attention to which platform they use or you wouldn't be able to maximize the benefits.

Social media marketing is effective for both B2B as well as B2C businesses. Again it depends how you brand your self on social platforms. Social media contributes in improving your digital PR, brand image & brand recognition. It also contributes in generating leads a well.

While B2C brands typically use social media to drive traffic, sales, and awareness, successful B2B social media channels are more likely to focus on brand development and lead generation. B2B brands also take advantage of the many business opportunities social media has to offer.
