[RESOLVED] How to make free placeholder images

Recommended Posts

Here's a very simple way to make placeholders for your HTML images when building templates or themes.

All you have to do is use http://placehold.it and add your image dimensions to the end of the URL.

Random image size examples:

  • hxxp://placehold.it/728x90
  • hxxp://placehold.it/336x280
  • hxxp://placehold.it/250x250
  • etc...

Example placeholder images below.

You can make up any image size you need for your own project. This saves a lot of time since you don't have to mess around with image editing software.

Note: Make sure to change hxxp to http
