It's unlikely in our lifetimes though considering that the richest person on Earth is only worth 0.15 trillion (150 billion). He's still 85% away from cracking the trillion mark. It's a lot easy to go from having a $1000 to being a millionaire, and a lot easier to go from being a millionaire to a billionaire than it is to go from being a billionaire to a trillionaire, even though each step represents a 1,000 fold increase.
